Understanding God's divine choices can be difficult. Though the Scriptures give us a great deal of information about God, 

there is much we can never know. However, God has revealed Himself to be holy, just, separate from sin, and always wise. 

In Romans 9:19-24, Pastor David explains that God's perfect character and omniscience combine to accomplish His glory. 

We are vessels made by the Master Potter. 

From Romans 9:1-20, the Scriptures teach us about God's divine choices that called Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob to experience Hi divines blessings. God sovereignly and wisely directed the plan whereby He would be honored and glorified. 

Is there anything that can separate a believer from the love of God? 

No. Nothing can do that. By His covenant with us, the commitment God made with

those who put their faith in Christ endures forever.

Are the things that happen to a believer simply random events that have no purpose and no explanation? The Bible declares that to be untrue. God wisely works in order to use each circumstance that comes into a believer's life for the purpose of shaping us to be like His Son. Though some of those things may bring pain, they work together in order to accomplish God's master work.

God is at work in the lives of those who trust Him and believe in His Son, the Savior, Jesus Christ. At the same time, 

through the ministry of the Holy Spirit, God is working to bring about a radical transformation of our lives and character

to reflect His glory. All three members of the Trinity are actively engaged in our lives to accomplish His perfect purpose in us.

Romans 5:12-21 presents a vivid contrast. It is the difference in what mankind received by birth from Adam compared to what we have through the new birth by faith in Christ. Connecting this passage to the observation of Memorial Day, Pastor David explained that Christ willingly sacrificed Himself to save those who were cursed by Adam's fall.

Romans 2:17-29 gives a picture of hypocrisy. The Apostle Paul calls out the descendants of Abraham for relying on

tradition instead of transformation through their faith.  It would be easy to read this passage and think, "That's for someone else." The passage is actually a call to self-examination.  It deserves careful consideration so that we live by faith and in obedience.

God sees us for who we are and all that we do.  His judgment is always just because it comes in holiness and

without partiality.  In Romans 2:1-6 Paul urges the readers to recognize the truth of God as a call to obedience.

In Paul's message in Romans 1:18-32, he describes God's response to sin. Often people focus on the

sins they find most objectionable while excusing their own guilty behavior.  The passage provides the

opportunity for a moving message on the need to be right with God, taking all sin seriously.

Unashamed of the Gospel!  Why?  Because, it is the power of God. 

It portrays God's righteousness. It transforms lives.

Paul describes the blessing of being allowed by God to serve the Lord.  It's all about grace.

Grace gives us blessings we don't deserve through the love we cannot imagine!
